Anywhere between old soul and brutal death metal. To drop a few names: Otis Redding, Isaac Hayes, Barry White (yes ladies :D), Alice in Chains, Muse, The Rapture, Depece Mode, Rammstein, Roy Ayers, Static-X (latest album gives me Yoko Ono associations though, in a negative context), Bolt Thrower, Radiohead, Kyuss, Al Green, Massive Attack, Primus, Nine Inch Nails, White/Rob Zombie, Type O Negative, Job For A Cowboy, to name just a few.
Some jazz-ish stuff is OK, don't like classical.
Sometimes people ask me if it isn't time to just put everything in a mediacenter for convenience sake, but, like straight razor shaving and putting together an espresso, it's the little ritual of diving into 400-ish cd's to come up with something to listen to. Having everything alphabetically organized means I've got all genres mixed together nicely. :)
I do notice that the music I play in the car affects the time it takes to get to work. :D
