I admire her fortitude and courage. very few would have done so.
But in some cases -and this is one- it can be very dangerous to do and as a parent I would not like it.
Because real life is usually not like the movies :)

Actually, as soon as I read the story, I thought the same thing.
My youngest is someone who observes people and thinks before she does.
My oldest is like me. She does before she thinks.
And she is also a natural 'leader of the pack' which is a trait she got from my wife.
I can easily see her running after he thief with a ladle, yelling 'Give me my mony back, you twerp, or I will kick your ass.' :rant:

Despite my earlier post about the ill advised nature of the little girl pursuing the guy, I do admire her courage, I think it could have been exercised more wisely though.
Now had it been me, there would have been no pursuit. I would have just called the cops:w "yes, officer, thats right, he was robbing me and I feared for my life, I thought he was armed.......":w
