I wasn't allowed to watch art films in the seventies and eighties :)

I wasnt alive in the 70s. In the 80s I was in nursery and at primary school. Do you feel old yet?
EDIT: I have just spent 30 mins trying to find the damned answer to this one Olivia. Even Google was having trouble and it knows everything in the world ever! The best I can come up with is 'Les choses de la vie' (aka The little things in life/ The things of life). The only confusing thing is that the third pic of the main actor in colour is actually taken from the cover of the VHS. Michel Piccoli is the male lead I believe. And if this is wrong then I dont want to know. Pretend to me that its correct. I dont want to have wasted half an hour of my life :)
2nd EDIT: Scratch that. Piccoli and Schneider did one other film together. I would therefore say that by deduction the answer is 'Max et les ferrailleurs' (aka Max/Max and the Junkmen). Total time now spent searching: 45 minutes. If i'm right i'm gonna post the frickin Lion King.
Well its not "The little things in life/ The things of life" and there's not Romy Schneider in the one we're looking for.
The pics were only there to help you find the main actor.
But Michel Piccoli being the main actor in the one we're looking for is right.
Nice guy, isn't he? :)
I cry. And give up. :( :chop::cry:
Aaaaw, you've come so far!
Can't be witchcraft to find a filmography of him.
Olivia he has made over 200 films. About a dozen of them are in the 70s and 80s. I have looked into each of them. I then googled AND google imaged every single one of those ones. I google searched a combination of words 'michel piccoli', 'silent', 'black and white', 'french', 'flic'.... to name but a few. I turned the adult filter off and did every search again. I have wasted nearly two hours now trying to find out. I am losing the will to live. Will come back to this thread in a month or two. Hope someone has got it by then... :(
LOL omg!
I'm tempted to tell you the director's name but that would be too easy.
OK, so lets narrow it down to the year. 1972
Easy, Themroc
CONGRATULATIONS !!!
This is the correct answer!
I can't believe Sandy couldn't get that. It was as plain as the nose on Michel Piccoli's face.
Ok new film:
