An Interesting Read
I'm not posting an opinion on this, but I thought it was very interesting. I also wonder why no one is reporting it. Obama Crimes It may or may not be true, but the suit is actual and real, and as of now, has not been dismissed or abandoned. If it is true, it would constitutionally disqualify Obama from running for president.

Sen. Obama is lucky that a majority of the media support him I guess!
-
Wow...talk about a guy with sour grapes....and he is awful presumptive to think Clinton would be selected to replace Obama. Unless he is an expert in Immigration and citizenship law, he should watch his step.
This same BS was tried with McCain, because he was born in the Canal Zone where his father was stationed.
This guy looks to be out for attention, given all the public speaking schedules posted on the site. I also noted that he quotes Wikipedia as a source....now there's a solid basis for facts!
Given the options we have to chose from in November, I think we lose wither way.
I wonder if I can write in Truman? Hmmmmmmm......
:hmmm:

I don't know, Joe. I have a feeling that is about as true as this
YouTube - Obama: "My Muslim Faith"

I can't believe that people are still circulating this stale old crap. Obama posted his birth certificate months ago. I think it's still on his site.
And he never questioned McCain's citizenship or ability to run for president.
Jeeze, where do they get this garbage? Rush Limbaugh?

Typical republican garbage. Create a lie and keep telling it and eventually people will think its true. Its worked before.

That's why I didn't really post an opinion on it. I first heard of it on the radio last night, and went and looked it up. I do find it interesting, though, how quickly it's dismissed by those who don't want to believe it. And the guy who filed the suit isn't a Republican by any means. He was a Hitlary supporter.

I don't recall Rush mentioning this, other than in passing. He certainly hasn't spent much time on it. And the certificate posted is not original, and appeared to be falsified. And there was never any reason to question McCain's citizenship, nor his commitment to this country, as there has been with Obama.

Okay, now we're down to cases. What is your "reason to question McCain's citizenship, [and] his commitment to this country"?
Be specific and show evidence.

There isn't any reason to question either for McCain.

Actually, I think McCain's has been questioned by some since he was born in Panama if I recall accurately. Apparently he satisfied the detractors
Here's Obama's

And nobody is questioning it. Every time Obama mentions his name, he honors his service and his sacrifice, and Obama has never once questioned his citizenship.
Not everybody plays like a Republican.

Here's [Snip]
Gee, I'd forgotten that his mother's name was Stanley. Jeeze, what kind of Amurrican has a mother named Stanley?
That breaks it. I'm going for Ron Paul.
Thanks for saving me from a mistake I'd always regret. Call the McCain campaign and tell them to get on this.

I'm not sure what "playing like a Republican" means. It's all politics. As far as the certificate, I'm satisfied. And that's also not why I posted it. I just thought it was an interesting argument I heard on the radio so I posted it to get other opinions. I don't know if it's all true or not, but obviously the Democrat who filed the suit thinks so. And if it is, and Obama wins, and it was later found to be true, it would precipitate a constitutional crisis like we haven't seen.

The constitution handles this situation: Biden would become president.

Ok, but what if Obama had made a bunch of treaties, agreements, etc., and then it was found he didn't have constitutional standing to do so until much later? What would you do then? I understand the Constitution might cover the landscape, but what of the details? Also, I'm not aware of anything in the Constitution addressing this specific eventuality. Please enlighten me.

The 25th Amendment deals with the death and disability of the president. Ineligability would be a disability under that amendment. Once the disability is discovered Biden would automatically become president. Anything Obama did up until that point would stand as it would have been done in good faith. To be sure though I am positive that the Congress and the new president would probably quickly redo the bills just to imbue them with legitimacy.

Well, I suppose he'd be sent home with all his stuff and the possible legal proceedings for forgery (or whatever it would be termed) would ensue. He'd be jobless at the time since he wouldn't have his senate seat. As for whatever he did while in office, well, I guess we just get caught with our pants down. I'm sure though that Biden would follow suit with every last president and both pardon and honor Obama:shrug:
