Giving someone bad reputation just because they are either politically disinterested or don't care to watch the pomp and circumstance of the inauguration is bad form. I watched the inauguration, but that doesn't mean that I should be mad at others who didn't.
It was a *historic* (I'm sick of that word) moment, but it wasn't the most exciting thing ever. I thought it was cool to see John Williams (wrote the music for Indiana Jones, Star Wars, Close Encounters of the 3rd Kind, and just about every other movie that had a friggin awesome soundtrack) musical piece performed, didn't care too much for Aretha Franklin's performance (she's had much better days and much better hats), but when it all boils down, it was long and drawn out.
Plus, the actual oath was fumbled by the chief Justice of the Supreme Court. Maybe he should write that down next time.
Not watching the inauguration is NOT the same as being unpatriotic. I'm sure Freebird is much more of a patriot than some of the self serving elected officials in D.C.
If you gave Freebird bad reputation for his post, please PM me so I can find one of your posts and give you bad reputation for such a shabby move.
Remember this: Without multiple parties on the ballots, we citizens of the US wouldn't have a choice to vote for or against. Without this choice, we wouldn't have democracy. So if you are unhappy with the election results, just be happy that we actually had an election.
Anyway - freebird has an eyepatch and uses mustache wax. That makes him much more bad@$$ than all of us put together. The only way he could up his bad@$$ level is to cut off his hand and replace it with a hook.
