Canada... can somebody explain it to me?

I have to say, I've tasted maple syrop from all over, and the best I've ever had is from the sugar bush in Quebec, especially if you can go to the sugar shack during sugaring off period and get it almost straight from the trees!

Yum!

And I agree with X - we do need political reform - the leaders of our political parties think that they are elected directly by the people, and we have no choice but to vote along party lines even if our local representative is a dick. Mixed-member proportional is the way to go, I think...but just getting Canadians to talk about reform will be a great first step.

I went to Canada last summer, to walk the " west coast trail".Canada and Norway has many similarities, but everything seems abit bigger and wilder in Canada.I have to say, that hike was the best I've had so far.One week in the wilderness, and then one week in Vancouver.I absolutly love your country.

My family, the Butlands, are from Alma. I own a place in Beaverbrook between Alma and Albert. I spend about 3 months there and will retire there in about 7 years, God willing. I knew "Pappy" Weston though not too well, the last lighthouse keeper at Cape Enrage.

Rabid sasquatches? :roflmao I've heard Canadians compared to many things, but this new one takes the cake!

Though, looking outside my window, you may just be right.... I love being an arctic-wasteland-walking rabid sasquatch and snowman; its a conversation starter:

Person A: "I say! Is that a rabid sasquatch?"
Person B: "No, just a snowman, walking in the arctic wasteland that is Canada."
Person A: "O. Pity."
