Actually because Ice was refering to actions he did / saw in the past that he now seriously regrets, it adds a whole lot of credibility to his position. It allows us to see where he is coming from.

And im about as peaceful/friendly as it comes, its just some things get under my collar and unfortunately i don't have an inner filter. I ain't Gandhi :)
