Are you saying then that you think NBC's research is inaccurate, and James Files is believable?

Not at all. I was speaking generally.
I had heard of the 221 Fireball shot. I've never heard of the biting of the shell casing and one being found at the scene with toothmarks.
I believe there was a conspiracy but I doubt if who was behind it will ever come to light for sure. Like Jack the Ripper's identity this will always remain a mystery.
I don't take my views on anything from this forum (even though I do like you guys ((okay most of you)) but I did spend way too much time today reading through all the interesting stuff. The James File stuff was great and the transcripts of what Oswald said during his interrogations were two things that really were interesting.
I'm really stuck though on why someone trained as a shooter/black Ops kinda guy would extract a shell casing and bite it. Can anyone shed some light on that?
James Files in his one interview said that he bit the shell as a call sign, a signature.
I guess that the reason I like the Files stuff is that it makes way more sense than one guy that can magically come from multiple directions.
Conspiracy theories did not start with the JFK assassination and obviously did not end with it. While they make good stories and entertaining movies, they are almost always short on actual supporting facts. They exist and persist for the simple reason that some people cannot deal with the inherent chaos if the universe and theories of this sort provide a convenient way to inject order into what is essentially a chaotic system.
thought id put this on here in case anyone has nor seen the xp-100 .221 fireball engoy gentleman

Note the muzzle blast off this thing, granted this one is in .243 but the muzzle blast would be about the same...
Pretty noticeable.....
These short barreled "Pistols" really throw out a huge flame blast when they go off.... They are also much louder than a standard rifle in the same caliber...

i watched that one too but i just posted the .221 either way i would not want to be on the recieving end of it
I always found it a bit funny that people still say it's a pistol. It's 'just' a high power rifle with the barrel sawed off and a shortened stock. It even has a tripod :)
It's a bit like calling a honda goldwing a bike, when it's more like a car on 2 wheels :D
