My grandfather passed away when I was ten. I'm not sure how old I was when he told me,"Believe half of what you see and nothing that your read." I couldn't comprehend that for years thereafter but the older I get the more sense it makes to me. Especially with our news media print or otherwise.

Not at all. I was speaking generally.
I had heard of the 221 Fireball shot. I've never heard of the biting of the shell casing and one being found at the scene with toothmarks.
I believe there was a conspiracy but I doubt if who was behind it will ever come to light for sure. Like Jack the Ripper's identity this will always remain a mystery.Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

I don't take my views on anything from this forum (even though I do like you guys ((okay most of you)) but I did spend way too much time today reading through all the interesting stuff. The James File stuff was great and the transcripts of what Oswald said during his interrogations were two things that really were interesting.
I'm really stuck though on why someone trained as a shooter/black Ops kinda guy would extract a shell casing and bite it. Can anyone shed some light on that?

James Files in his one interview said that he bit the shell as a call sign, a signature.
I guess that the reason I like the Files stuff is that it makes way more sense than one guy that can magically come from multiple directions.

I have read that there were no notes or transcripts of Oswald's 12 hour interrogation. I googled "Oswald Interrogation transcripts" and could not come up with anything.
I did find an interesting article purportedly written by Sylvia Maegher, the women who indexed the entire Warren Commission Report here. Scroll downpage for info on the Oswald interrogation.
"Although Dallas Police Captain Fritz “kept no notes” or transcript of the interrogation of Oswald, and the reports submitted by Fritz and Federal agents (primarily from memory) were incomplete and in some vital respects contradictory"
In perusing the James File stuff I came across a page refuting the tooth marked shell casing discovery here . It doesn't prove that he didn't pull the trigger and leave said casing at the scene but it does eliminate the so called proof that they had discovered "the" shell casing at the scene years later. In what I did read on Files overall it seems to me that his claims are questionable. Probably why law enforcement hasn't pursued it.
Edit; I just found Cheif Fritz's notes here and Agent Hosty's here . Not much to chew on in either of them.Last edited by JimmyHAD; 03-13-2009 at 08:35 PM.
