Hmmm.. Why am I learning MA the hard way if all I need is a bible... :roflmao :rofl2:
No disrespect for religious people of course. It's just that this clip is hilarious.

I got called out really badly on another forum for forwarding that!
I just don't understand how can these things be possible... it can either be seen as something trully amusing (meaning hilarious...) or utterly revolting! These so-called evangelists touch the borders of the nazi carisma. I'm sorry if this offends anyone but that's how I see it. They take advantage of the stupidity that rises from colectivism and do things... they act as God Himself. They heal, they exorcise, they call the name of God in vain. I'm sort of an atheist, but I think that religion is a thing to be respected... and this disrespects faith - true faith... These "evangelists" make fortunes pretending to be true religious men. But they are no more than show-men. And I hate that. Really really hate that! Ok... rant over!
But as Jockeys would put it... "Colectivism sucks!" :)
Hey my parents paid good money to go see that turd. Before that they gave my inheritance to Jim Baker. I detest the entire evangelist thing. However, it is the basic stupidity and gullibility of people like my parents that keep these charlatans in business.
Oh, and while it is not my goal, I don't give a rat's ass if this post offends anyone.

my EX wife dragged me to a church similar to that a couple times, I was always amazed of the gullibility of most of the members while a select few put on the show albeit not as dramatic as the video, it was like most of the congregation was brainwashed they even had that glazed over look in there eyes, the self proclaimed Bishop was later investigated for extortion and forcing church members to sell there homes to move in with one another and donate all to the church and to work basically as his housemaids which he was also found to be having sex with many of them.
like anything else in life there is good and bad everywhere the extremist and nutjobs give things a bad name, whether it is religion or anything
ah, Benny Hinn, the biggest ****stick in the world.
I had to misfortune of growing up in the same town as he lived in, and I've seen him live a fair few times. People wonder why I'm an atheist :hmmm:
EGADS, Benny Hinn! Con artist extraordinaire!
How very sad. What are these people missing in their lives that they would allow themselves to go this kind of stuff? What is the psychology involved?

Why would anyone want to watch the Jerry Springer show or worse appear on it ? Search me ? I have a good friend who became an evangelical Christian of the Pentecostal persuasion. He was a street kid from Newark and nobody's fool. In his late thirties at the time, he went to one of these revival things.
He told me that he was always skeptical of people being "slain in the spirit" and thought that they were playing the part when they hit the floor ........ until the guy touched him on the forehead and down he went. :gaah:
Personally I don't believe that is for real. I believe he believes it and it goes back to "Extraordinary Popular Delusions and the Madness of Crowds". It is easier for people to believe something if they really want to.
