Looks like a nice dog. I love dogs. I had a beagle when I lived at home but she is still at my folks. Good hunting dog...
Cant wait to move into a house and out of the apartment so I can get a dog.
These are ours. Jake, the Labrador, is mine. My wife bought him a puppy of his own, called Phoebe. He's around 35kg, she's 3.5kg. She bosses him about something terrible.
This is Reese. She is now a 4 year old female vizsla. I hunt with her and she is AKC major pointed. I should finish up her CH but really got tired of politics in the dog games.

Breed: Dappled Dachshund
Gender: Female
Weight: 10 pounds
Name: Vienna von Sprecher aka Vivi
Born: May 9th 2007
This is from about five years ago, but he looks the same (just a little/lot fatter)
Thanks!
He is a looker. When he was a pup i had to walk with a stick just to beat ladies off. They flocked to stroke him! Sadly no longer.
Great thread!
Ogie,
I selfishly began a thread dedicated to my dog Basil a while back. I think being a pit lover you will enjoy it: http://straightrazorpalace.com/finer...dog-basil.html but to make an entry in your thread, here is Basil as a pup:

WIREBEARD, BEAUTIFUL DOG
Here's Harper a Labrador Retriever/Shar-Pei mix. He was a stray rescued from the shelter by a lab rescue group here in town. They estimate he is a little over a year old. I adopted him a few weeks ago.

You sure can see the Shar-Pei in his face though, heh. Drinking is like a water park attraction, pretty sure for every cup he drinks he spreads a gallon around the room.
here is a pic of Vienna
And here is my entry. This is rusty. A 65 lb mixed breed. I am told that he is part Australian cattle dog and part Australian shepherd. I looked it up on line and he looks very much like a dog they call a Texas heeler which is apparently the same mix as rusty.
To that, I say this:
According to the American Canine Temperament Testing Association, 82.5%of the American Pit Bull Terriers that took the temperament test passed, compared to a 77% passing rate for all breeds on average. In the test a dog is placed in a series of confrontational situations. The first sign of aggression or panic is a failure of the test. Pit Bulls have achieved the fourth highest passing rate of all 122 breeds tested.
I've been around a lot of dogs in my life and have never seen or heard of a pit attacking anybody I know.

Mike - Great looking Boxers. I love them.
I'd get another pooch if we didn't have my other half's Shih-tzu Poodle mix 1/2 time. He doesn't like dogs, but Mack knows to stay away from him after being growled at too many times! I'm not sure what other less-tolerant dogs would do... probably have a little white snack before dinner.
Breed: English Bulldog
Name: Smudge (a.k.a. The Wrinkle Baron)
Here's my boy, playing in the snow with me. Jake is his name, and he will be everyone's friend (although the rescue that I got him from can pucker up and kiss my @*$%)
Here is "Tcharah" (he -the big one - mother Boxer, father Brown Dalmatian) and "Tucha" (she -the small)! They are inseparable! Tcharah rescued Tucha when she was young from the road on a raining day (the only dog / animal that he didn't thought it was he's "meal":D..just kidding but cats..squirrels..ducks..chickens..snakes..mouses.. flys..bees.. well..they aren't so lucky! Dont know what to do about it ..!)
Pictures are from a old cell phone..im with my office PC! Post later better ones!
I'm glad to see this thread is back. There are lots of new guys on since the last activity so maybe we'll see some new pups...
Here's another one of Mack goofing off the other night after the Phillies won the NLDS:

The day Basil was temperament tested there were tweny five pits brought to Connecticut from New Orleans with hopes of finding them homes. The Ct Humane Society felt they'd have better luck with adoptions if the pit bulls were all temperament tested. They all passed, Basil too, with no problems. The dogs that failed? A beagle, a pug, two labs and a ****er spaniel mix.
Think it is pretty well known by anyone that owns any bully breed that the issue is not the dog. Any dog can be trained poorly, only problem is if you do that with a bully they have enough strength to be dangerous.
Then your dog ends up on the evening news after it mauls something, when it should be the owner that ends up on the news for being negligent to their poor misguided pet.
Unfortunately the whole situation makes responsible bully owners a little touchy about the subject, always having to defend their furry children from the ignorant.
Baron....nice E-Bull....they have always been a dream of mine to own. Never thought id be able to afford one that looked like i envisioned...but guess what. I got one earlier this year....heres some pics of him as hes grown up in the last few months (hes a bit over 6 months old now).
