That's pretty much the same thing I was talking about briefly earlier.
It is sad how easily people are duped by clever advertising and half truths. I can't say it surprises me, why should politics be any different to say shaving.
A little off the wall but it just struck me that, to the average bloke, shaving and politics have a lot in common; it's part of our lives, it's a chore, these guys seem to know what they're talking about and have some stuff to prove it, I'll go with what every one else is going for - it must be the best or they wouldn't be the only thing available.
It is only those who take an interest, those who believe things could be better, that take the time to actually think about it. We had local and European elections the other day, one of my friends voted the way her parents told her to, and the other one was about 18 months out of date in what he was talking about, and didn't know the conservatives were nick named the tories - like they have been for our entire lives. Democracy needs the people to be involved.
Trust me though, you're better off than we are at the moment, at least your country isn't seriously considering voting in the Nazis.
