And why not I say? This is further PROOF that communists are taking over the United States!

the whereabouts of Jimmy Hoffa
I am prone to offer my opinion though whether solicited or not
Purses are a no-go area? Conversation-wise? Really? I would be deeply suspicious of that level of secrecy. Riffling through is one thing, but just talking about it? Wow.
(Olivia - I have a book, a blank book, pens of various sorts, wallet, pictures, and tweezers. Plus a napkin and an occasional potato. Maybe a phone. Oh, and explosives - but don't tell anyone.... Just kidding. And how sad that I feel compelled to point out the kidding-ness of that...)
There are some subjects that I know I'll just get too sucked into if I start, so I shy away. Some are things on which all minds are made up and set, so why, why would I buy frustration on purpose?
My only no-go topic is what things I would not discuss.
:p
James.
Topics i won't touch or will censor myself self largely are Native americans rights and health issues.
Native American Rights (or Native Canadian in my case :)) just seem to be a subject that i stay away from as most people have no clue what they are talking about. i know you usually say that when you dissagree with the other side but some of the stuff i have heard is ridiculous, and most of the time has nothing to do with the subject. people see one documentary on some reserve with extreme conditions and suddenly they are an expert. i am Metis (part French and Part Ojibwa) and i identify more with native beliefs then any thing else, but when i tell someone that i get "dude you aren't native you don't even have black hair or brown eyes", or "dude what are you like 1/16th native, thats bull!@#$, get over it". that has happened more times then i can count, seriously. so i stopped talking about for the most part as all i can do is hope that knowledge and facts will change their views.
i once posted in another forum some advice for a guy who just realised he had prostate cancer and had caught it early on. i was torn up by 4 other users about how inappropriate it is to tell someone that has a REAL illness to use alternative medicines and how i should leave the advice giving to the doctors. meanwhile the guy who had the illness thanked me and told me about the natural medicines he was already using. it made me EXTREMELY angry to think that SO many people are so closed minded and basically sheep that will do what ever they are told to do by "experts" (please don't think that i don't appreciate doctors as i truly do, but there are all kinds of ways to improve your heelath and cure illness). alright i'll stop with that one before i get mad again :)
let me also state that i HATE argueing! i love a good discussion where both sides respect each other and talk about what they think and what they have heard and are open to admitting that they might be wrong, as that is exactly how i am.

I'm loving that post, just becuase in telling us what you don't talk about, you had a little rant about it as well, which is absolutely fantastic lol.
Not so much the secrecy, but I vividly remember, shortly after the unfortunate purse incident that changed my life, bringing the subject up. This alone promised so much trouble as an immediate follow-up that I had to de-escalate before even finishing my sentence.
No ma'am (and I don't mean Al Bundy's club here), I treat the subject with caution. :D
