    Default Free CAD software?

    Hi,
Does anyone know of any free CAD software i could download from a trusted source? It's not for complicated projects. As an example, right now i want it for a bookcase, albeit a fairly detailed one.
Thanks in advance for any help.

    Hi Ben,

What OS are you talking about? AFAIK, there isn't any software that's free and supports the CAD format file - DWG. There are some converters, but you have to pay for them.

You can get a 30 day free trial of AutoCAD or you could try one of these open source products. I haven't used any of them, so I have no recommendations.

Google has a 3d program. I don't think you can export CAD in the free version but it's still worth a look.

    It's called google Sketchup

I used to work with Cycas3D, good software with a free version.
