Ha ha! That's pretty cool ALex. Looked like you had a blast. FOr a second I thought "80 mph?!? Is he nuts?" but then remembered we're talking about the Continent's metric system!
You were smart to submit the wheels to a REAL stress test at the end. In my experience, there's only one real test of robustness... give it to a toddler.

Thanked: 271Man, all I can say is you better start wearing a helmet and some protection or your little boy is going to cause you a lot of grief someday. You may not care about whether or not you get hurt but if he starts to imitate you and gets hurt...

Does your wife know about this?

hahaha. Nah. I just watched a lot of american cartoons when I was a kid.
And yeah. My wife knows about this.
I'll tell my son to do what he feels like, just to think about it and be carefull.
It might not seem like it but we put a lot of thought into the location because of safety and such.
Picked a spot with no traphic, close to a straight stretch all the way. And a route with a lot of visibility ahead.
Besides it's not the first time I've done something like this. Usually we only get up to about 60km/h but the principle is the same....focus on your feet the whole way. Don't move and lean back in your skates.
