Let Obama quit first.
Lead by example I say.
Glad I'm 60. (puffing on my tobacco pipe) The world is getting to be where I'm glad I'm on my way out. Smoke 'em if you got 'em the smoking lamp may not be lit for much longer once the smoke nazis have their way.
"The smoking lamp" is a term I haven't heard in 20 some odd years!
There will be a lot of angry, irritable, heavily armed soldiers craving a smoke. Some one could get hurt.
heavens, we wouldn't want a soldier to die of cancer. Not when there are perfectly good bullets and improvised explosives to die from.
Seriously? What idiot wants to take away the one little comfort these guys have?
I think it's hogwash. Those poor guys over there can't even have a freakin' drink, you can't take away the tobacco.
I had heard once that smoking was actually endorsed by the military. During WWI the rations actually came with cigarettes. Now they want to end it...? I am not a smoker but I enloyed my chew while I was in the Corps. I think a better option would be to give incentives to quite, points to promotion tests, etc. (or, if its the Army, they can hand out another ribbon:D).
