What is the ultimate goal here? Do we think that the Earth has a thermostat somewhere that we can adjust to suit our 'perfect' temperature. Climate changes. Period. And there is little to nothing that we can do about it.

In short, don't be wasteful, recycle, do your part, but remember what a tiny part in Earth's history humanity really is.

But there IS something some can do about it: They can label the 15th most abundant element in the Earth's crust, the fourth most abundant element in the universe by mass and the second most abundant element by mass after oxygen in the human body as bad and harmful, even deadly to humans and push for a global monetary punishment for daring to exist! I'm suffering through about 12 inches of white global warming right now. I had to shovel my driveway to get rid of this global warming, and the global warming plows are out trying to clear the streets of this stuff.

Like many good things, it is good in a certain range of concentrations.

Take water, for example... you need to take in about 2 quarts per day to flush out toxins and avoid problems. However if you take in more than a certain amount per day and you overload your kidneys... ultimately leading to death if you push it too far. Young healthy kidneys at rest can process between 800ml and 1000ml per hour, go above that and you start having problems. When under stress, your kidneys basically get into water saving mode and decrease the volume of water they process...

Increased CO2 levels in the air stream do tend to create issues for most mammals... the extent of the issues depends on the species and the initial health of the subject. You may want to look up on the subject of hypercapnia.

I want to understand your comment regarding volunteering for "storage". Did you mean storing excess carbon dioxide, then? Forgive me, I'm confused.

Yup, that is definitely one idea I would get behind... even tho it would just postpone the CO2 problem. I don't believe there is a silver bullet solution to any problems outside fairy tales.

The solution would probably be a mix of reduce/reuse/recycle, increased sequestration by plant life, alternative energy sources and increased self-sustainability. That would probably solve more than one problem, too ;)

As anyone who has been able to honestly look at the data and 'situation' knows, it's just a sleezy scam which uses spun and exaggerated numbers to redistribute wealth from the producers to the con men running the scam. The fact is that the CO2 level has not caused a temperature increase (which as anyone knows we are not experiencing right now) but rather temperature increase has caused increased CO2 level, the scamsters have put the cart in front of the horse and told everyone look that horse is pushing that cart. We have virtually nothing to do with it - IT'S THAT GIANT FIRE BALL IN THE SKY PEOPLE. :banghead:
