GOD, COUNTRY, DUTY AND HONOR

i want to know just how many think he is still a wacko?
from what has been released to the newscasts in the last couple of days, he is a domestic terrorist plain and simple.
1. anti-american speech at WALTER REED hospital
2. couseled iraq veterans to do jihad against U.S.
3. emails to extremist leaders(supposed to be for research, yeah right)
4. many witnesses state he had spoken against AMERICA
5. stated he was a muslim first and foremost
6. attended same mosque(spelling?) as 2 9/11 terrorists, not saying guilty by association, but it is something to think about.
i now think this man knew exactly what he was doing.
also the thing about him not wanting to go to the front lines is no excuse either, he could have resigned his commission at anytime and been out of the service...

Yes. He was definitely a well adjusted individual who enjoyed Jihad and dancing in the rain.

say, hypothetically, the draft was brought back. I am a christian. now, i am aware that there are many christians who serve and have served in the armed forces, not passing judgment here. but i choose to take the command of "thou shalt not kill" without exception, so, were i drafted, i would choose not to kill, thus being a redundant soldier, and would most likely end up ripped from all the punishment i would attract for my insolence. My question is, would i be considered a christian extremist?

but, you are also told in the good book to obey the laws of the land. by serving you would be doing your duty and the commandment really says "to do no murder" when properly translated. just a thought and i am sure could be a great debate also.

and there's where you'd have to draw the line in that fantastic grey area between killing for good reason and out of cold blood.

if i've never met the chap i'm killing other than to remove him from his life, no matter what his uniform represents, does that justify his death?

and yes, obey the laws of the land, in so much as they don't contradict those of god

mostly just good common sense and two grandparents that brought me up with great christian sense of what is right and wrong. (quite amazing since they had little education)

Also the Lord said that if a man sheds blood then by man shall his blood be shed.
And also if someone killed a fella even by accident then the Lord had them set up the cities of refuge where he could go for judgment and protection, but if the avenger of blood (relative of the guy that got killed) caught him before he got to the city of refuge then he had the right to kill him.
And of course there were death penalty sins, to carry out the penalty they had to 'kill' the offender.
And of course there were times when the Lord had His people go and make war or kill people.
And then there is Elijah who killed all those pagan preists.

Just some thoughts
