Black. Anyone other way is socialist.
That's kind of funny. My parents always drank theirs black, but my sister (and possibly my mother putting him on a starvation diet a few years back) got my father drinking sweet latte's. It's still black in the morning, but on weekends if you take my dad to a coffee shop he'll probably get a latte. Of course, he'll only order the latte after spending the entire morning trying to convince you to go to a brewpub instead. ;)
lack n Sweet
Sugar, cream milk.
I am from Bulgaria, and I am used to drink some great coffee, Turkish espresso etc.
I live in the US at the moment, and I find the coffee that one can buy from the store horrible. I have to resort to additives such as hazelnut creamer to make things work. I learned to live with what I can get from the store, but if I had the funds I'd probably get into roasting my own coffee blends etc.
I think coffee is a lot like good scotch where cream act's like water so you can taste the beans a little better. I don't need any sugar in my coffee I'm sweet enough.
However I do like Turkish coffee straight up. :needcoffee:
As a young fellow I drank it with cream and sugar. In my early twenties I went on a sugar free thing and within a few days found I preferred it without the sweetner. Then in my forties I gave up the half & half and again found in a few days I was used to the straight stuff. Straight razors, straight single malt scotch and straight coffee are my habits now. :)
Turkish - with about half the standard calling for sugar.
American - black and strong.
Irish - yes please.
