    Default They Might Be Giants

This thread is to celebrate the brilliance of a band I have long held an incidental appreciation for, but since the release of their new album, Science Is Real, which our Little Man is getting for xmas, my appreciation has grown. I'll start with the songs I am asked to sing and play for him on a daily basis. The first is from the aforementioned album:

YouTube - Electric Car - They Might Be Giants w/ Robin Goldwasser

This next from their previous album. That's right right, he's 21 months old and he says, "Gilgamesh".

YouTube - The Mesopotamians - They Might Be Giants

No we don't show him this, the official video for this song and I have no idea why he likes it.

YouTube - I'm Impressed - They Might Be Giants

I hope you enjoy those as much as he does. Please post your own favourite TMBG vids for others to enjoy as well.

I've been a big fans of the "Johns" for almost 2 decades. They are both tunesmiths and wordsmiths. Thanks for posting this.

They used to (maybe still do) have a phonenumber you could call, and they would play a recording of one of their songs each day.

Kind of quirky/fun. I have also heard them compared to Schoolhouse Rock, which is not far off the mark either...

Not to put too fine a point on it, they're the only bee in Little Man's bonnet.

More of Little Man's requests from Science is Real. I can hardly wait till next week when I won't have to dig these up on YouTube any more to listen to them.
