Everyone does have their own persona, I guess. (I, for instance, am a chimpanzee!) But I see that you are from Tennessee, and your handle, 59Caddy, suggests a fondness for what was commonly believed to be a more "simple" and idyllic time, when gas was cheap and cars were big and pretty well disposable. You've got Reagan in your avatar with the American flag as a not-so-subtle backdrop, and to top it off, you seem to be making every effort to argue about issues that others--who more or less share the standard checklist of interests and beliefs--typically argue about.

I'm just curious. 'Cause I mean, balking at the extinction of a species and chiding that science should simply find a way to clone them to ensure we will always have a ready supply of "tasty treats"? That's pretty ignorant.

There are currently over 6 billion of us on the planet. Ok, so it's more like 92%, or more. How do you suppose that they are going to accomplish this 'First Commandment' of their New World Order Cult?

Not to mention that in comparison to the planet the people take up very very little space and a small amount of the resources. There are problems like people living in areas which are not very practical or smart to live in to raise crops or livestock, these people need to MOVE to a different area. Also, crooked governments 'use' their poor people's condition for political and financial purposes, like dooping rich countries out of billions of dollars to make them feel better - as if the money is really going for helping the 'needy'.

Of course this is not only about fish. Modern life just seem to be very destructive to the nature sometimes.

if i have explain, then you would not understand. calling me ignorant is your unwarranted attack on something that you could not grasp and that is the "survival instinct of man"...I.E. we adapt and move on.

The prices you quoted are irrelevant. Take a look at Bluefin tuna and then

Why is the "survival instinct of man" something he couldn't grasp?

If survival is your goal then ignoring problems like overfishing is not a very
smart thing to do.

And that's another confusing thing here. I don't know why you are trying
so hard to ignore the evidence of overfishing.

I've missed no point. You had none. You provided irrelevant data to try
and prove your point. You failed. The fact remains that overfishing is a reality.

So why do you think us in the big cities consume more? I know you aren't
basing that on any facts. I don't even own a car and I use only public
transportation. I'm sure I use much less resources then you do.

Ignoring problems won't make them go away.

It's also a bit disturbing to hear from a human that they don't care if an

X, My apologies for some of the members that are in agreement with my conservative values and thoughts.
