Look, I'll be the first to admit that I am not a smart guy. My IQ was measured somewhere in the range of 70 to 75.

I just meant most people are more than willing to hand out criticism and insults but most will get offended when you do the smae to them even if it is deserved. I'm glad to hear you are treating others as you would want them to treat you.

I might get offended at name calling. Like I said, Robertson was an extreme case. I usually try to refrain from name calling and I urge others to do the same. Criticism as long as its done in a reasonable, polite, and fair manner won't offend me(especially if its constructive criticism.

very interesting thread..
first off i do NOT agree with pat's statement and i wish he had not said it.
he is a fundamentalist and i guess that is where he gets his view. i respect his right to say what others may or may not consider stupid.
my question is...does he get any credit for the other great things he has done for others through his ministry and charity? i do not follow him that closely, but know from what i have read that he has a fairly large following and does a lot of work for others worldwide.
i see a lot of vitriol thrown at him. can anyone here look in the mirror and say they have helped as many as he has?
again i say i do not agree with him, but do thank him and others for helping out their fellow man...:)
