So when the Church van ran over and killed the 7 year old girl at my church in the 90's it was because of her secret pact with satan. Or when an entire church bus ran off a mountain road and killed half the occupants at another church, it was because of the peoples secret love of necromancy or voodoo or whatnot.

Honestly it's that kind of twisted, egocentric logic and growing up in the ASSembly's of God church that led me to the shining light of my atheism.

Perhaps we all have a pact with satan and enduring Pat Robertson's drivel is our collective punishment.

But you as a fairly left leaning individual (at least you portray one on here) can instantaneously see this for the wacky fruitcake type thinking that it is... BUT !!! (not saying you here ok) Most lefties can't see the same wacky thinking when it spews forth form some Muslim clerics mouth, and jump to defend his 1st amendment right of free speech... From where I am standing it seems that the liberal left has embraced Islam and ostracized Christianity... Can you explain to me Why???

I mean after all it is Robertson's right to free speech here too...

Again I apologize for the but I don't have liberals to ask where I am from...

Only muslim clerics in the US have first amendment rights...

But yeah.. Hate speech is hate speech.

This is indeed stupid. I am like Glen though here a little. The stupidity of the political left is breath-taking with their double standards as well so at least we know stupidity is lurking. Perhaps we can make it a disease and get lawyers to sue doctors who can't cure it while simultaneously represeningt muslim clerics right to spread lies and hatred in their "teachings" through free speech.
FWIW, Robertson does not represent Christianity, he represents himself. He is a stock raving lunatic in my mind! If anything we should all pray for the Haitians (no matter what your religion) and send what we can to help them.
Off Topic: This is why I hate Washington D.C. If we were not fighting two unnecessary wars, we could throw these people a bone, plus they are our neighbors in terms of distance and could really use all the help they can get.
