I went with a B. While I didn't agree with the bailouts, the numbers now are supporting that it might have been the best choice. Job loss percentages have steadily declined and the DJI (Dow) has steadily increased. I hate the Fed but they did just report a $52B profit, of which $46B was paid to the Treasury.
I'm shocked that we're on the verge of health care reform. I think that those accomplishments in themselves are above average for a year's term. I would have liked to have seen Gitmo closed and troops withdrawn from the Middle East, but I'm content with what has happened thus far and I'm optimistic about the next few years.
I guess if I let GWB set the curve, then I can give Obama a good, solid B+
I think he horrible and has not lived up to anything he promised. We are engaged further in two wars and on the verge of healthcare collapse. plus he has managed to spend more money in his first than any other president in history year with huge deficits from the start. Soon all of us will get our stimulus and welfare checks I hope. I mean who wants to work? I think we should force others to take care of us right?
health care reform=F, bailouts=F, outlandish spending=F, the thought of closing gitmo=F, creating and saving jobs=F, transparency in his administration=F, knowing the concept of "commander in chief"=F, dealing with terrorists=F, calling the war on terror a "man caused disaster"=F, marxist opinions=F, socialist programs=F.....surrounding himself with idiots=A+
I fear he is an empty suit: "All hat and no cattle". The biggest fear is the granting of foreign police agencies the ability to be exempt from the constituional requirements that our own police have in our own country. Very, very troubling.
Remember that RR had the same poor polls early in his presidency. Obama still has time to turn this around.
This is one time I really hope I am wrong. I pray I am wrong!
A+++++++++ WOULD BUY FROM AGAIN!!!!

I give him a D.
Misplaced priorties, such as attempting healthcare reform rather than addressing the economy, and tax policy, which will prove to only extend the recession and increase job losses.
What appears to be a lack of focus on National Security and the return to a law enforcement approach for terrorism.
Prediction: One term president with a legacy worse than Carter.
Thats what we get for electing an unproven unknown.
That said, McCain was a poor choice as the opposing candidate.
I gave him a C. I took the intent of this poll to rate him on his performance, not on whether I approve or disaprove personally on what he has done. In terms of a typical performance evaluation, a C would be mean that he met expectations, and for me that is just what he did, met expectations. Of course, I didn't expect much and for the record, I pretty much disagree with everything he has done or wants to do. But what he has accomplished is what I expected him to achieve, so a C it is.
