I believe they drown in air David. As for the folding paper only 7x, that has me baffled to the point that I am not certain that I believe it

The ball of glass bouncing makes me think of a marble on concrete slab - bounces like crazy! I bet it does bounce higher than a rubber ball of the same dimensions.

Most sharks being primitive creatures have no way to pump water through their gills so they must move all the time and the have no air bladder so if they stop moving they sink. So I guess if they stop moving they suffocate and then drown.

Alex, I believe they got the world's foremost expert in this to undertake th research. I can't remember her name, but she's an old lady. I'm told she once swallowed a fly.
