Just saw this and while it's not quite as good as te graphic novel (IMHO) it's still a damn fine movie.
I recommend it.

Portman is awesome as is Hugo weaving and Stephen Rhea.
If you did the flick, I'd say rush out and get the GN. It's masterful.
