I made one from a kit when I was a kid. It was a lot of fun. That was 40 years ago so I don't remember all the details.

Man, I've been thinking the same...just a wilder version than most. I'd like to make a "wild" version with a sportbike motor (say 600cc) for off road/sand bars and dunes.

I once heard about a guy that put an FZ750 engine in a Honda Odyssey frame with some mods. it sounded neat but i never saw it myself. If odyssey's weren't so hard to find it wouldn't be a bad starting point. There are probably lots of frames out there to start from for all i know.

I've been seeing quite a few of the odyssey like go carts (side by side) being sold around here and am hoping to find one that has the motor blown or something. then I could just stretch it a little and it would be done pretty much. I'm patient & will find one some day or another...

I've tried to research plans, but they all cost. You can find "hobby" go cart plans free out there, but nothing with a suspension...that I could find anyway.
