I was surprised he didn't do so earlier, but the spokes person of the Belgian cardinal resigned today, and gave a pretty scathing press conference. He called the cardinal a 'spookrijder' (someone who drives the wrong side of the road) who insists that all the others are wrong.

Our cardinal is a man cut from the same cloth as his Fuhrer, and not a week went by without him making a moronic statement, and his spokes person trying to put some context to the words to make it seem less bad.

After last week's 'AIDS is a form of divine justice' and this weeks 'We should not sue or pester retired paedophile priest', the man obviously lost whatever sense of duty he had and threw in the towel. I applaud that man. Since he is a catholic himself, it must not have been an easy decision to make. But at some point you have to stand up for your principles.
