Ya I usually give a gun around 500 break in roundsI would say I go through 2000 rounds before I will carry anything. Actually my springfield 1911A1 Loaded model has really impressed me, especially for the price range. I even had a customer service issue (which I think is posted in 1911forum) and SA was so great about their service I was just so impressed, especially for the price range of their weapons...of course it took another 1000 rounds or so until I would carry it again after the repair...but like you said more excuses to go shooting!!!

beauiful gun, and stainless is a wise choice in a gun that gets carried often

if you really want to see some stuff to make you drool, check out louderthanwords if you havnet already (can't remember if its .org or .com) those people are to pistols what Vlad and Bill are to Razors

I like the grips. Pretty cool. A 1911 just seems a bit heavy for concealed carry, even the Commander model.

not at all. I am by no means a big man 5'9" 175lbs (should probably be 155lbs though) and i carry a commander sized gun concealed all the time. the key is that you MUST have a good belt and holster. I can carry wearing shorts and an untucked T shirt and no one knows

I am also 5'9" I carry a full size 1911 with an extra mag...a good holster and belt its a MUST as trapperjohn mentioned. I use the following, it was made by Milt Sparks, they take a few weeks to make their stuff as everything is hand made. I also use one of their belts, its so comfortable I often cannot even feel the gun when Im carrying:
