    I always enjoy his character acting, especially in the spoof films he was in

    He was an original, and I always loved the smirk and gleaming eye (yes, I said eye!) he had most of the time.

    I used to watch Columbo when I was younger because my father watched it.
    A couple of years ago I bought him the dvd collection with all episodes (35 dvds or such).

    I really loved to comeback episodes. Same character, same rumpled coat, same beat up car. I can see him now, pleading his case to St. Peter:..."just one more thing..."
