HK USP 45 Pics

Sorry I have been MIA guys I was doing some training the last few days and was away from the computer most of the time. The USP 45 LEM is just an amazing weapon, unbelievable. I love the 1911's, but the recoil system is just symple unreal on this weapon, if you have one at your local range, its worth giving it a try. The only difference between this model and your stock USP is the law enforcement trigger (it is supposed to be a more crisp trigger pull) and the hi cap magazine, both of which are now available on any USP as an aftermarket job. I am just amazed, I really can't say enough good things about it, obviously really not a very concealable gun (especially with the big old laser sight), but if you arent worried about that much, its a great weapon.

As far as the laser sight, man what a great tool for seeing if you are jerking the trigger or making any sudden moves before shooting. When I was training people were just lining up to try it because it really let you see that you were doing right before the shot. The laser is so strong it is VERY bright even in sunlight. So while I wont be carrying the weapon with the light/laser when I have it in the shoulder holster (nor is it necessary), ts worth its weight in gold as a training tool, especially for practice drawing and dry firing, etc...which reminds me I need some snap caps! :tu

I shot it out of a Ruger model 1 with only a half inch pad. My mistake, boy howdy. I never want to see another 4 inch long shell the rest of my life if it goes in something that pressed against my shoulder.

Sounds like you had a good time. Im definatly going to have to go take a look into that USP 45. Have you ever toyed with the um... I think they are recoil springs??? laser sights? They replace the spring under the barrel. I had a room mate that had one in his 1911. Its pretty cool because you dont have a lot of mods on your weapon. ON the down side... it has a manual switch. I also like the hand grip lazer sights. They are pressure activated either on the front on the handle under the trigger guard, or on the side of the handle. Both worth looking into if you like the lasor sights without the bulk.

Sheesh....well at least I know I am not going for too much power!!! That is a neat gun and all Bill...but it would be sort of hard to find a holster for :w But hey...it would be great for...oh I dunno...err....demolition???

I tried a custom seven pound 458 Win Mag once. Off hand, I came close to the barrel hitting the overhead at the range. My definition of a masochist is somebody that shoots one of these bench rest. The three shots with a .416 are an easy bet if you don’t let the thing touch your shoulder.

I was talking to a buddy of mine and a number of years when he as an LEO a friend of his, then a rookie was hired by his department and tried to show off by doing a one handed quick draw with a 44 mag and he didnt take the time to lock his wrist up...long story short, the front site hit him in the forehead and according to the story knocked him out cold lol. Poor guy, I bet no body ever let that one go!

The SA Rugers do a quick turn in your hand and then start to climb. Many years ago, my wife tried my .41 Mag. I only let her shoot it once. Again the front sight came real close to her head.

When I was shooting targets on a regular basis, I started to use minimum loads in my revolvers. They are a lot more pleasant to shoot. Meanwhile, the guy at the next position is using a .45 Grizzley. LOUD! I could feel the blast.

I meant the 416. But, to buy your 454, I'd have to get a purchase permit, and around here, as I said, that requires the donation of a kidney, my left arm, and my first born.

The only practical use for a .416 on this continent is Alaskan Brown Bear (Kodiak). Doesn't N.J. require shotguns with slugs for deer?

I think there are some other options.

But I mainly blow holes in pieces of paper at long distance.
