    Default An Amazing Story

Part of my job in the Air Force was training aircrews in survival and escape and evasion. As such this guy's story really got my attention. This guy is hands down an Escape and Evasion BEAST! Twenty-eight years of back pay= $300 (USD)!? WTF!? GI's of any country are traditional not lavishly compensated but good grief! That's ridiculous!

Truly amazing! Tough break on the back pay though. Yikes!

There was another gent in the Phillipines that surrendered in '74. He wouldn't surrender until his old commanding officer came and spoke to him personally.

No mention of back pay for this gent.
