    Default My fellow Americans...

Don't forget. Tuesday is election day. We have fellow members and family of members out putting their lives on the line. Voting is a right that they protect. Please take the time and make the effort to cast your ballot on Tuesday, November 7th.

Indeed, I will be on election duty in an undisclosed South Jersey location, enforcing the election laws and all that good stuff. I just have to leave home early enough to make sure that *I* can vote.

I shoulda requested an absentee ballot.

Here's a cute little fact from the time of Milosevic that Josh/Bill are going to appreciate:
The only rural riding where the Socialist Party of Serbia did not win a seat was in my dad's home-town. Coincidently, it was the only riding where the ballot boxes were guarded by volunteers with hunting rifles. Too bad for you guys that they didn't do it in Florida lol.

Now, now... We all know that he Help Republic... err... Help America Vote Act is supposed to fix all those little glitches in the system. Everyone is supposed to go to electronic machines eventually. Those really are so much easier - you push the name of the guy you want, and it lights up!

During the last presidential election, the EU wanted to send observers. That is at the same time outrageous and amusing.

And if you want to excercise your right to vote more than once, you can easily do that, too:

Amusing? Yes! Outrageous? Considering the fact that there were some irregularities, I'm not so sure that EU shouldn't have sent a few people to make sure the elections were truly democratic.

Fortunately I was able to take advantage of the 'early voting' in my state and voted last Saturday at the polling place they set up in the mall. There wasn't a line at noon, so it couldn't have been much more convenient. They also were open Sunday to catch the church crowd.
