Whats your opinion on automatic weapons?

the crime rates are so different. All I can say is, thank the powers that be you blokes have less guns. I'd hate to imagine the mayhem that would be caused at a football game! The spectator violence is already pretty grim I've heard. And knife crime is a serious problem too by all accounts. I guess if they finally manage to get the crims to stop carrying knives you blokes will have to ban cricket as well. Can't have just anyone owning a cricket bat to bludgeon people with afterall.

I'm not making a value judgement here and of course the guy who accosts you may be a nut who just shoots you dead for fun, you never know but the odds are in your favor.

Just remember there are 2 sides to everything and everything can be spun to say what you want it to say true or not.

I'm a firm believer in having a sense of situational awareness...Goes well with having a gun too. :)

Not that, I meant the sex and drugs bit. As to the other stuff, that has changed too here. I am not too keen on the lack of discipline/respect or the idea of just moving kids along but then I am a Liberal. OTH what do I know, I went to HS to keep out of the rain and still only lasted 1 and 1/2 years.

For all you that have shown disdain for the 2nd Article of our Constitution, it is there for one simple reason, that reason is found within the Declaration of Independence. The Cliff Notes version is thus, "the right of the people to alter or abolish the government.". Any and all other benefits are residual.

Our founders knew their history and the nature of "human nature", they knew the corrupt are drawn to power and will try in every way to subvert someone else's liberty to enrich and empower themselves. They knew how fragile this "great experiment" was, in may ways I wish they were here to see it now and in many other ways I am glad they can not.

For all of it's flaws and all of our foibles, I would not trade it for all of the King's tea.
