Lots of anti-union folks talk about rights. What about a worker's right to withdraw his or her labour? The restriction of that - and not wage restraint - is what is driving the conflict between the Ontario Government and teachers.
Try reading the Yale edition translation of von Clausewitz. He died before he worked out all of the nuances of his theory of warfare ("the extension of politics by other means"), and that's why it's such a confusing read. At least Sun Tzu made sense...kinda. Machiavelli was easy.
