Professional sports are MEANT to be entertainment through competition between the best. If prefer watching entertainment you'd be better off watching "the real world" or "real housewives of....." or some crap like that.

In the meantime, Rasmussen has confessed to doping use during most of his career.
He admitted everything, and named names and numbers. That's a confession that the WADA can work with :)
If this string of dominoes continues falling, I suspect that pretty much the entire top of the pro league of the previous decade will fall down.
I don't believe that professional athletes are the best. They might have been born to the right parents, know the right people, have the most money, the best equipment and/or were in the right place at the right time.
Pick any popular sport. Millions play them. If they were truefully the best, number 100 should be able to beat number one 50% of the time depending on which way the wind blew or where the pebble was on the track.
I think some of the more naive of us, which I am one, are disappointed. Our feelings are hurt because we so wanted to believe that Lance didn't dope. Oh how the mighty have fallen ! :boohoo:
Lance is/was no gentleman. I am sorry anyone ever thought he was.
Cheating is but one of his displays of uncouth behavior;)

The guy of which we bought our house has a daughter who plays tennis. Or at least she did then. And she was really good. Won local tournaments etc. But he did not have the money to let her train to her full potential because that is very expensive. I am not saying she might have become a top 10 player, but she could easily have become a sub-top player if she had had enough financial backing to get there.
Not saying you can't get to the top with a lucky break. Some people still do. But more often than not, the ones who do are the ones who are financially independent enough to concentrate on developing their potential
