I'll second that.

Second what, exactly?
I've known Jimmy for a fairly long time now, and I can say without a shadow of a doubt that he's a person I would happily and proudly call a friend. He's a thoughtful, considerate, intelligent, helpful, genuine person who takes his role seriously and understands what "moderation" means. I've never seen a cross word pass his lips. He always takes a balanced view and always keeps the best interests of the forum in the forefront of his thoughts and actions.
I think perhaps some of you guys don't fully appreciate how lucky you have it here with the moderators - they always act with the best interests of the forum as their central premise. They always consider their actions and never shoot from the hip. They have a tough job to do, and in my opinion they do it very well indeed.
James.
I kind of wish that I had the ability to close this thread...it's gotten kind of silly. I know that I'm partly to blame for joining in...maybe that's why I'd just rather it closed/deleted. If a MOD wants to, feel free. I'm the OP and you have my blessing....
I do pay attention to the badges, but I also pay attention to members overall posts.
I have gained a great respect for many here,
in reading through the archives there are more than handful of people I wish were still active or more active.
Regardless I thank the moderators and members of this community badges or no badges for making it what it is.
I apologise - upon further consideration realise that the comment was made in the context of a generally light-hearted banter.
I still maintain my earlier stance - our mods are some of the best I've had the pleasure to know. However, I think I saw insult where there was really none intended. I'm sorry Brooksie.
James.
This was intended (I think) as a light hearted thread which has gone past its intent. So, I'm going to just close this.
So everyone sit down at the table and break bread together and slap each other on the back and lets move on.
