Hibbard, Spencer, Bartlett & Co. Our Very Best (OVB) in Black G10 w/ Pink wedge
Another last minute restoration before I head back to school. I left some patina on the blade again but I am thinking I might go back to sand everything to clean up the blade real nice. I'm torn between what to do. I usually like leaving the blade "as is" as much as I can but I really think this would look great if I cleaned it all up. I can always go back and do it later but I can't bring the aged look back as quick. So I'll leave it how it is for the time being. I hope it hones up nicely as there was some corrosion on the edge and a few small chips (which you can see).
No sanding on the blade, straight from the 'bay I polished in 3 stages: more abrasive, less abrasive, then mothers. Scales done in black G10 w/ a pink G10 wedge, double stacked SS washers, and nickel silver pins. The razor is tweaked real bad to one side and was hitting the scales pretty severe. I tried to compensate to the best of my ability when making the scales and pinning. It does still hug one side and the toes edge ALMOST hits the scales, still hugs one side but I'm happy with it.
Cheers,
Zac
