I Bought this, an Imperial and a Crown Sword, blades only, to attempt some restoration work.Attachment 139044
It was originally a square point but I dropped it so I cut it into a round point.Attachment 139045
The blade is so thin I didn't attempt at sanding out the pitting.

The scales are ziricote.

The spacer is an old COPPER penny with 2 pieces plastic ( anti-freeze container )Attachment 139048
I sharpened it up and shaved with it 3 times.

While taking these pics I noticed the blade is so thin it has a hole in it

but it's so thin and shaves so good I'm keeping it in the rotation.​

Good job! I like the rough, old and worn look of the scales and the idea of using a penny as a spacer!
