Default 15/16 ported half hollow in carbon fibre effect

Here's another razor I have just forged. This time I have got my hands on some o1 steel so I have managed to get heat treatment a little more accurate first time round! Those files are a bit trial and error, it's all about doing things on a budget for me at the moment so here's another from my home made forge, it's a 15/16 blade, I'd put it around the half hollow mark, I wanted to do something a little different aesthetics wise so I ported the blade down to the tang. I think it looks rather nice. I used carbon fibre effect acrylic for the scales to keep in with the theme, I couldn't afford genuine carbon fibre but I think the look is there anyway. It's a looker that's for sure. How does it shave ? I could see it being a special occasion razor.

Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

Great looking razor, how is the function? Does lather/water/moisture get caught up in the holes?

I haven't shaved with it yet, I set the bevel but that's as far as I have got at the moment. I've just started a new job so things are a bit up in the air atm, hopefully I will finish honing this weekend and il post how it goes, thanks for all the comments. Rob.

I really love the way that blade looks! But, 5 minutes shaving, 10 minutes cleaning the holes from lather remnants and water

I'm not a big fan of holes in razors, or a spacer instead of a wedge. That said i can certainly apreciate your time and effort in producing this razor.
