Restored this one keeping it as near to original as possible. Used the original bone scales. Cleaned up the blade trying to keep the etch intact while removing the pitting and returned the original type finish.

did you treat the scales to make them look older or is that natural to that set. Some of the bone scales I see are very new looking.
If I lived next door to you, you would have to get a court order to keep me out of your workshop watching over your shoulder. Beautiful work as usual!

They do have a nice patina to them, I like them a lot.
Love the bone. Sometimes less is better on the blade. I always thought they needed to look like a mirror.But didn't realize that I was polishing away the character. Yours has character and kudos to you, I have been polishing less to leave the story!!
