Wosty Pipe in Horn

The last of a set for a client. The original plastic scales could have been used but we figured at this point,, what's the point? So I made up some streaked Horn for this little gem. I have some Wosty's that have translucent horn and since I used the originals for a pattern I don't think I'm too far off course.
Oh, and don't ask me how so much dust gathers in my shop. Seems to get everywhere especially those prior shots. Sorry.

It would appear that all that dust is due to you banging out masterpiece after masterpiece without stopping to dust occasionally.

May be that or I treat the combination of Mahogany and Horn dust my version of Potpourri. Ah, my studio smells wood shop fresh!

the blade etch couldn't be preserved more

It's actually better than the glare and photos show. Shiny stuff is odd to photograph well but in the original shots you can see much of it was gone.
It's all there.

If your main light source is to the side of the object rather than the front the reflections will be less and more texture can be shown

Here is a bit of a better shot. The shine makes it difficult but you can see the etch and the section along the bottom that was originally half gone as it was. The pipe is still there as well but the reflection of the camera lens distorts it . Well,, it's there. Still crisp , I can read it maybe better than before I worked on it. I like to keep the etch.
