Brunoblade in G10 and Rayskin
Got this one from our very own Bruno about two weeks ago, 8/8 spanish point with a long monkeytail.
The blade was heat treated and ground/sanded to 80 grit when i got it.
I hand sanded the spine and tang to 2K, the blade itself I just ran lightly on 320 and 400 greaseless as I wanted to keep the grind striations, finally polished trought the "normal" steps.
I desided to try something new by making rayskin inlay, tought it would be cool. Well, it was a lot more job, and waaay harder than expected, I spent about 8 hours on the scales alone...
I'm not 100% satisfied with the result, the skin was a bi*@ to cut to the right shape, and after gluing it in place it kinda shrunk a bit.
Scales in White G10, black wedge to go with the rayskin and brass pinning.

That looks absolutely awesome Zephyr,
I have a similar monkey tailed BrunoBlade comming but with some spine work also on it's way to me
can't wait looks like i will have to remove a scale shape from my short list now LOL
I too am really liking the light grind lines in the blade as I have a 1" W&B that still has them also.
job well done another Brunoblade successSaved,
to shave another day.

Absolutely stunning work!
This is what I like: The end result is a beautiful custom built around my steel that looks way better than anything I could have made in a reasonable timeframe. This is a perfect example of 1+1=3
Til shade is gone, til water is gone, Into the shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath.
