Custom damascus razor - HG 7/8
Hi everybody!
I have just finished this razor now. I made it for me. The blade is forged by my hungarian friend.
steel: M1 + 15N20, 144 layers, hardened to HRC 60.5
scales: camel bone
wedge: reconstituted turquoise
edge: ~70mm
blade wide: 7/8in
blade thickness: 5.5mm
Thanks for watching!Last edited by gregg71; 03-20-2014 at 02:53 PM.

Looking Good!
The turquoise is a really nice touch.Til shade is gone, til water is gone, Into the shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath.

WOW!! Now that razor is something else. I don't think you could of put together a better combination of colors and materials if you wanted. Nicely done

lots of attention to detail in there! very nice, just the work that went into the wedge shows amazing skills but the whole package really is a stunner, gorgeous. and youre keeping it all to yourself?!?! kind of selfish isn't it?!
the geometry of the blade with the lightly cambered spine is an elegant touch to such a beastly blade.

great one, I like the details like groove on a wedge (did it once on a wooden wedge and was a pain to do with my tools, how did you make the groove if may I ask) and exposing the recon pattern transition/begining of a scales at the wedge part.. the flow of the lines,.. altogether very very nice
