    Default 6/8 Wade & Butcher Extra Hollow Ground

    I posted a teaser picture of this blade a few days ago, well, here she is, basically done. Got her repinned tonight. Decided to try a few things:

    1. I kept the look of the washers, instead of going with a triple stack I used a reverse stack I just learned of from Glen;

    2. I smashed flat a couple nylon washers from micro (their smallest) and used those as thrust washers - totally smoothed it out!

    3. Kept the original scales, lead wedge, and some of the original grind lines.

    Overall, I am pretty happy with the results.

    Sorry the pics aren't that good, only have my phone camera. Enjoy!

    About to shave with this for the first time, I'll let you know how it is in a little bit.

    Well, it got the job done, in that I had to shave for work. But it's going to go back on the hones tonight, I don't think it was as close/comfortable as it could be (some probably would have been happy with it, but I have high standards).

    I'm going to put it through the paces tonight and keep you updated. Haven't decided yet if I'm going to hold onto this one or not...thoughts?

    It's a beauty. The text on the blade reminds me of the Harry Potter logo.
