Just finished this today. This one is handforged from O2 stock. For this design I wanted to combine something that looks made for a beheading (hence the smiling 9/8 half hollow grind) with a paddle tail. Handforging is an interesting process. On the one hand, you need less time removing stock after forging, otoh, it takes time to forge, extra time to anneal, and it's easy to make a mistake. But it's more fun so there is that. I just polished and mounted the blade.

It still needs honing, and a return trip to the buffer. I always redo the last polishing stage after honing because honing with a lot of slurry can sometimes scuff the blade faces, and I find it easier to not care and polish again than to be careful in order to avoid scuff marks. After that it just needs a light touch-up. This is also why you still see some lines on the blade. Those will be buffed out later.

The scales are kirinite purple haze with a glow in the dark spacer.
