Very nice, Chevhead. :)
Based on the scale decoration I'm guessing it's an American made razor.?
Wade & Butcher.
Sorry forgot to mention that....
Bravo !! Nice work bud !
It cleaned up really nice & the job on that toe is great,,,,, nice to see it back on the line. :tu
And here I was ready to tell you to send those worthless scales to me for disposal...
For $10 bucks you should be locked up for larceny, stealing from a little ol' lady like that.
Great fix on the chip in the toe - and those scales are very interesting indeed...
Smooth Shaving...
Hey Chev, that's great work Sir !!....Judging from the second photo, I thought the scales were toast :ziplip:
Just a thought, have you considered buying some liquid gold leaf (or whatever it's called) and applying it
to that rather striking stamp ?....I've never done it myself, but that eagle would look cool restored !!
BTW, very nice re-profiling on that toe :tu
Great looking restore Chev
Nice save! reshaping looks good, scales came right back to life, and be willing to bet that it will shave like the devil! Enjoy!
It did hone up pretty quickly. :tu
Got to shave with this today.
It was GREAT!
I was very impressed with how smooth it performed!
Was going to sell it now It has made it into my shave rotation. :gaah:
I have to STOP keeping all of these "basket cases" I find... LOL
Very nice chev- that's a cool save.
Speaking of gold leaf, I've had some mild success with a gold leaf pen that krylon makes...
Fantastic job well done if I must say so Chevhead. That turned out beautiful! Nice work on the blade, the chip was in the right spot for a good fix like that. I hope it shaves as good as it looks.
Well Bongo I have been playing with the Gold Leaf Pen.
Not too shabby I think:

I got a Gold, Silver and Copper Pen.
Oh the possibilities. :P
Great work! Old beat up blade + old glopped up scales + some ingenuity + some dexterous work = a very nice new to you razor! Marvelous.
Outstanding save Chevhead ! OH...And nice "Penmanship". :roflmao
While I'm a little late to the party, I will say that I don't know whether I'm more impressed with the way the blade and the initial look of the scales looked or the addition of the Gold to the scales.
All are impressive.:tu
Bongo, I thank you for the suggestion of the Gold
Nice save with the chip at the toe, a lot of people would of overlooked that razor because of it, scales looking sweet now also.;)
Thanks guys, it turned out way better than I was hoping for. The gold really does make a HUGE difference!
I'll give u20$
For it its very nice on a serious note
Outstanding job. Where did you pick up the razor? Antique store?
