Thread: a pair of altoonas

i got this pair in a bulk lot of razors. thought i would use them to practice some restoration skills. (also my first go at bread knifing! the white scaled razor needed when i got it and i dropped the orange scaled razor and had to do it for that one as well.)

can anyone help with any more info on the history of them? from what i can understand they were from a hardware store? in Altoona, Pennsylvania whos manager/owner was elias batrus. would this be correct?



i couldn't keep the etching on the blade with the orange scales that said " Mr Edward'

i am pretty happy with the end result. still has some character pitting though
