Default OCD 8/8's short California Buckeye

As I mentioned before, I have been playing with making razors with a tad shorter cutting edge, but the tang a normal length. I like how this one turned out. This one has a 2 1/4 edge. It hones, strops and shaves very nice. Its a keeper.

She's 8/8's with a beveled spine and coarse jimps cut on top with a thump notch on the bottom. Toe and heel have faceted cuts, giving a rounded effect. Full hollow with a semi-gloss finish.

Scales are California Buckeye from a stabilized block, wedge is a piece of white scrap something and hardware is Stainless steel screws.

    As always, Thanks for looking

Wow, what a beautiful razor. I love the scales, and I enjoy shaving with a razor with a slightly shorter cutting edge. At my age, the shorter blade allows me to maneuver among the nooks and crannies efficiently.

I like that a lot. The shorter blade is something I'd like. Now if it had a smile, I'd really like it! Love the buckeye too, one of my favs.

HA! Nice shortie, Bob! Bigger, shorter razors are great and this one has class! Great idea! Looks super!

Nice work! Have to agree with Andrew a shorty with a smile would be ideal...
I like the whole idea of a shorter blade in general. The shorter blades seem to work a lot better around the neck area

That work has everything to admire in a razor Bob. As always your work is brilliant.
