Robeson Premier resurrection
Hi gents, my first Robeson, and third pinning attempt.

Started with the above ebay snag. Tried to make a nice custom set of one piece ash scales for her.
Of course they decided to snap just when I was trying to steam and spread the 'legs', so no problem, plan B, make em with a wedge.
Opted for steel pins, washers, and wedge for appearance, and used some 1/16 black nylon washers from McMaster for the inner spacers. My thinking is one less dissimilar metal to help reduce corrosion (galvanic action) and make her easier to wipe down, right to the pin when using it. Need to try CA finishes next time as Polyurethane attracts every dust bunny in my house..

Learning with every attempt, and reading everything you gents are doing, to help my learning curve as well.
Tonight, I will hit the hones with her and see if I can remove that self inflicted frown at the heel. My buffing technique caused that I believe as going back and forth spine to edge means twice the middle travel on the blade. Next buff I will only go one direction or the other, not back and forth in one motion.
Cheers gents.
